Been a while

Yes it has.  So much going on and study to do.  In the course of getting my Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration I have come across 100's of great pics to share but precious little time to actually post.

Today my friend Alex and I popped along for our annual late afternoon visit to Ellerslie Flower Show.  It is a lovely event.  Here are some photos of my favourites.

France meets the koru...simple planting, very strong structure

Ben Hoyle, very talented designer.  He let me climb on the display

Early morning reflections - I did get a sneak peek the other day so got some lovely uncluttered shots.

Christmas style

This is how I decorated my Christmas table this year.  Very simple and last minute but with a homemade and organic theme.  Loved it.

Love

A whole 18 months since my last post is pretty embarrassing.  In my defense, a giant kick are earthquake plus 10,000 aftershocks does prove distracting.  Plus I have undertaken some interior design and decoration study so am focused on that a lot of the time.  However, a rainy Saturday afternoon has given me the time to scan some great places and although I have seen a heap today, these two pictures have captured my heart.
The congruence of the chandelier and the fishing buoy and the gorgeous turquoise is what I think I like

Green Flowers

It's been a while since I spent any time in my Stripey Cup world.  Earthquakes will do that to a girls creative brain.  But when I visited my favourite flower seller the other day (in a new location) I found my autumn favourites.  Tiny balls of design perfection, by nature.
